Still over 9 minutes to go in the game. Absolute backyard beatdown. Next game please!

I am hoping tO$U gets a playoff spot and we see them face Alabama. Want to watch Saban show Urbie who his daddy is.......again.

tO$U is already locked in to the playoffs despite being the only team not to win their conference. However last time they met Saban old Urb rolled.

At this point, Bama looks every bit the part of a National Champion. On paper, I don't know who can beat them. They are a machine with Saban keeping them focused. I agree that Ohio State is in regardless of what Penn State does tonight.

If OSU is in what happens to the Big10 champ? Is the committee saying you don't have to win your conference any more? Are they saying the name on your jersey gets you in and not your play on the field. I personally think OSU might be a better team than PSU or WI but they didn't prove it on the field by not winning the conference. There are many teams in all sports that may not make it to their Championship or World Series because they lost a game. If the committee leaves WI or PSU out then they might as well eliminate the whole season and just pick the teams they want. Sounds like that is pretty much what they are doing anyway if OSU is in the final four.

What I heard in part this morning on College Gameday is the committee is charged with picking the four best teams, period. Conference Champion is not a requirement but it is part of the process of evaluation and selection. Ohio State has one loss and you could consider it a quality road loss at Penn State. Both Wisconsin and PSU have two losses and Penn State lost on the road to unranked Pitt. Ohio State also beat Oklahoma on the road earlier in the year and the Sooners just won the Big 12 title. I'm not defending Ohio State but I'm pointing out what the committee is likely considering. IMO, it gets harder to defend Ohio State's selection if PSU wins the B1G Championship since PSU beat them head to head. However, Penn State would finish the season 11-2 to Ohio State's 11-1. I think this is why the committee wants some flexibility and is another argument to expand the playoffs.

Objectively speaking, OSU is definitely one of the 4 best teams in the country despite barely losing that flukey game in Happy Valley.

Though I would argue that since Michigan played Ohio State even in Columbus (game went to OT), that Michigan probably would have won at home and is likely the better team.

WI also lost in overtime to OSU in Columbus. And only lost to MI by two in Ann Arbor. Now what?

I stand corrected.

They seemed to be pimping Michigan on College Gameday this morning, which is absurd considering that they've lost 2 of their last 3 games. Herbstreit: "But the committee really loves them!". Gag.

So this BIG CG doesn't mean anything. Shame, it's a good game so far.

They'll get just desserts. If they win they will have beaten tO$U, won their division and won the conference and STILL get left out of the CFP. They won't be this good for another generation.

Should be Penn State over OSU. They've won 9 straight and have the head to head and conference title.
