They're brutal because the SEC is down this year.

Actually Quo, I didn't think so. Louisville / L.S.U. is intriguing. Kentucky/Georgia Tech is as well. Arkansas / Virginia Tech will be ground and pound. If healthy Auburn / Oklahoma will be good. If not it won't. Mississippi State vs Miami of Ohio looks winnable. Florida / Iowa looks pretty even. Vandy / N.C. State is about even. Tennessee could have a tough time but it depends on which Tennessee shows up. Georgia will be facing a tough shot at a win. But all in all it looks pretty doable. At least they will be challenging games.

Doubt it. The players really liked the experience.
It'll be a different bowl this year with the MW playing from another conference.
The Sinclair stations have the bowl on their OTA stations in addition to non-Sinclair owned stations. In addition with the streaming getting more popular, Campus Insiders is going to see some additional viewership.

We'll see though, who knows they keep all over them and next year they finally hit that 80 mark. I suspect the Arizona Bowl this year will be Idaho against North Texas, I highly doubt Air Force a service academy gets shafted with that bowl as they could easily fill the slot at the Heart of Dallas Bowl for the missing Big Ten team.
Two years ago, 83 teams hit the 6 win mark, but there was only 76 bowl slots. 7 teams stayed home (granted 2 were 1st year FBS in App St and Ga Southern so there werent eligible).

I agree. But it probably had to do with the amount of tickets that can be sold. North Texas should be in the Arizona Bowl, not Air Force but then they would've had to move Army.
Arizona Bowl has a contract allowing them to get a MW team. The other contracted conference is CUSA, who (same as last season) didn't have enough teams with at least 6 wins, and when that happens the bowl has a deal for a SBC team if one is available, which is how South Alabama got that spot in Tucson.
I'm glad the SB got enough eligible teams to fulfill the AZ bowl. At least it won't be a conference match up. Curious to see how the bowl will fair with AF and S. Alabama.

Beating UGAg is tremendously healing to our fan base and team. I expect Kentucky will get blasted in Justin Thomas's final game. And I'm usually not the kinda guy to make a bold statement like that.

Not true. The Arizona Bowl is affiliated with the Mountain West and the Sun Belt this year. C-USA had six teams at 6-6 or better to fill the conference's six contracted bowls this year; Hawaii (MTSU), New Mexico (UTSA), Heart of Dallas (UNT at 5-7), New Orleans (USM), Boca Raton (WKU), and Bahamas (Old Dominion). North Texas was one of two 5-7 teams selected to fill a bowl this year, and they will go to the HOD Bowl because C-USA East champion LA Tech will fill a Big 12 slot in the Armed Forces Bowl against Navy.

FYI, LSU just tweeted that LB Kendell Beckwith won't play in the Citrus Bowl due to a knee injury.
Beckwith is the heart/soul of LSU's defense, calls the defensive signals. With him they are very formidable, play like an oiled unit, without him, not nearly so much.
But, everyone moves on and they do have 4 weeks to prepare for your excellent offense.

Maybe Baylor should have been paired with the Miami RedHawks. One team started 6-0. One team finished 6-0. Both finished 6-6.

Can you verify, a LSU fan came on our board and said Fournette is sitting out...I know Derrius Guice is a stud but would have like to see the defense face the challenge of Fournette...only way as a program you get better.

The SBC had 6 teams with 6+ wins in 2015 but only 3 went, due to lack of Bowl tie-ins. App and GS were still transitional (not eligible unless there were not enough teams to fill slots) and TXST got left out (even though they beat stAte in conference) based off of conference record and organizers not wanting to take a chance on attendance by TXST. (which happened in back to back seasons)
Now the wheels have come off and we may be looking at another 2/3 years before we get back there.

James Madison wants C-USA
Liberty wants FBS
Jacksonville State wants SBC
Lamar wants SBC
Eastern Kentucky wants SBC
If any of these teams got an invite 2 or 3 years ago? Liberty would be the 7th team from the MAC eligible.
James Madison would be the 7th C-USA eligible team.
Jacksonville State and Coastal Carolina could be number 7 and 8 eligible teams for the SBC. No more 5-7, Hawaii may not get a spot, and some 6-6 teams would stay home.

The SEC could be underdogs in 8 of their 12 bowl games. By contrast, the AAC could be favored in all 7 of theirs.

The AAC has great opponents- to me best by far in the G5...
They have 4 teams playing G5 division/league champions(or co-champs in Sun Belt).
Memphis vs Western Kentucky
Navy vs La Tech
Houston vs San Diego St
UCF vs Arkansas St
then with their other teams- they get Temple vs Wake Forest, USF vs South Carolina- so 2 P5 games, and then Tulsa gets Central Michigan. So if the AAC goes 7-0, it's going to really mean something.
