Rice played Air Force in the Armed Forces bowl in 2012 and had a great experience. I think the MT experience was the exception, rather than the rule. Also, if I recall correctly, MT didn't show great sportsmanship in that one.

Navy fans were horrible before we even got in the stadium. Bowl was awful, staff was terrible... I have a deep-seated dislike of Navy to begin with so that bowl game really didn't help matters. Everybody remembers MT's "sportsmanship" yet didn't see the nastiness that Navy had all game. Not as obvious as going after someone's face but it was there. We were treated like second class citizens at that game.

That's fine with me. Tech vs Memphis in Boca, and WKU vs Navy in Ft. Worth.
USM vs ULL and MTSU vs Hawaii.

UNT vs Army in HOD and ODU vs EMU arent great match-ups but certainly winnable games

It would make much more sense to send the eastern teams (Navy-WKU matchup) to Boca and the western teams (Memphis-LA Tech) to Ft. Worth. Why completely crush fan attendance needlessly? Dumb.
