The last sellout was likely the 2008 Memphis game when Memphis was like 26ish - 0 with Derrick Rose, where we choked away the win.

I wonder if this is a 8500 tickets sold sellout or a sellout we had with some of the Memphis and Cincinnati games when we had attendance of around 9300-9500

There was a game back in the 90's versusAlabama St. on a giveaway night . There must have been 10k in the place

I thought that might have been Bass & Ransom's first home game against Alcorn State. It was crazy

It was Alcorn State but it wasn't Bass and Random's first game.

It was 11/28/1989. Attendance was 9010 and UAB won 104-53. It was the first game of the season and Andy Kennedy's second year. I have never heard why it was a huge sellout.

Interestingly, none of the top 10 crowds except against Alcorn State (#8) in Bartow Arena occiurred in November or December.

Most ever against Auburn in Bartow was 8779 in 1990

I bet Rancont would know why the Alcorn State game was sold out.

According to the Official UAB Athletics website the last time Bartow Arena sold equal to or greater than 8,508 tickets (official capacity) was on Jan 22, 2011 vs Memphis with 9,119 tickets sold
