RE: Fate Dealt UAB An NBA-Type Point Guard
The most devastating injury to a UAB player I remember was Demario Eddins going down in January of 2006. It was devastating because UAB was entering conference schedule against the likes of Cincinnati, Memphis and Louisville. What was worse, Eddins had been playing
Fantastic and it was his senior year. He had a season ending and career ending injury.

Totally agree that it was devastating. But Cincinnati and Louisville were out of C-USA by that time. That was the first year of the new C-USA.

Quincy Taylor was hurt at the end of C-USA regular season play. The article referenced injuries that happened earlier in the season.

You are right. I forgot that Andersons last year was 1st year of CUSA 2.0

It really is amazing how fortunate we have been as far as injuries go. Combination of luck, Lou, and Cory in my opinion.

That was horrific. Tore both ligaments, broke his leg above and below the knee. It was unbelievable that he walked without a limp, much less played again - and played well. Steve drove Carlos from Montgomery to UAB at Frenchy speed, and ever since I've been willing to forgive any stupid **** he says on radio call-ins.

I miss Carlos.

The article is talking back in the past 10 years,

Did a little research in the past 10 years

HaHa missed the first two games of his career due to injury.

Mehinti missed two games due to injury in his sophomore year.

Prior to This year, Norton has missed one ga,e in each of his first two years due to injury.

Quincy Taylor did not miss any gamEs due to injury that I kind find.

CJ Washington missed the last two games of his first year due to injury. He also missed a ga,e his senior year due to a concussion.

Rod Rucker missed his last game due to injury.

Jordan Swing missed three games his first year due to injury

KC Whitaker had an off season injury that ultimately ended his career.

Ovie Solo missed three games in his career due to injury.

Cam Moore missed three games his junior year due to an injured hand

Lawrence Kinard missed 5 straight games in his freshman season, which was just outside 10 years.

Robert Vaden missed one game due to injury, but I recalled him playing in games he probably should have sat out.

Good research. I think Quincy Taylor missed the C-USA Tournament games because his knee injury came in final game of regular season at UCF in Mike Davis' last season. Could be wrong but that's how I remembered it. Of course, my old brain isn't what it used to be.
