Well, crap. ESPN's story on the Brohm Purdue hire has Paul Petrino listed as a candidate for the WKU job. It may be a lateral move for Brown but given the current situation at Idaho it's an obvious step up for Petrino and WKU is the one school in FBS that might ignore his still-bad career head coaching record given their history with the Petrino family & offense.

I vaguely remember reading an article saying he was very popular there while part of his brother's staff.

He had the same rep in Atlanta. Everyone loved him but hated Bobby.
