RE: Official Game Thread: Limestone
Limestone is significantly better than Lees-McRae. Interesting to note that Limestone will play Saturday night at 7:30pm, then play us Sunday at 2pm.

I didn't want to start a new thread just for this...but wanted to share.

Hanner is currently ranked #29 nationally in FG%. Not bad at all.

And I think 7 games in stats are starting to mean something...we got enough data to know what we are looking at.

We need to go out and be ready to grind for 40 minutes today and not let up. We've certainly got the talent, but will everyone bring the effort? I wouldn't want to be the one that didn't today.

Limestone has it pegged as an exhibition in their game preview. It's a little early but judging by the the lack of cars in the parking lot this game could've been comfortably played in Brooks.

Now that's more like it. Great to see Peter get some real minutes. Wasn't Hanner's night. Hanner and Ike are obviously ahead of Peter at the 5, but we'll still need Peter game ready and not battle shy come March.

The contrast between Bartow and Forbes' between-game and within-game adjustments bears mentioning once more. The contrast is so stark and I'm still amazed in Forbes second year.

I really like the manner in which our men responded to this game. They were focused and professional.

Score 85 or more and get that defensive game cranking, there should be many more wins this season.

RE: Official Game Thread: Limestone (W 85-57)
Really liked Forbes's idea of bringing Cromer off the bench after his slow start against L-M. Worked out rather well, and was clearly a major factor in propelling us to a pretty good start.

87% FTs helped a lot, too.

Pretty much everyone played well, with the exception of HMP and Long, I thought.

As to Limestone being a better team than L-M........they may have (slightly) better athletes, but just based on seeing each team the one time, L-M played much better as a team, and did so many more of the little things to enable themselves to have a chance.

AMAZING how few posts on this thread compared to the near-catastrophe game Thursday night.

Actually Forbes said TJ didn't start because he was late to pregame practice, but hey whatever works. Looks like the FT shooting is coming around, but still seems like we are missing many point blank shots. Tough stretch of four games coming, but ALL are winnable.

Yeah I liked Forbes comment that at one point in the first half
he thought Jurkins and Perea were 1-7 from 2ft. He also mentioned Glass not finishing.

Guess we can see what happens on the 10th when they play each.
I thought Limestone ran out of gas, they played a late game at home the night before, a very tough one they won at the buzzer.

I didn't get to watch LM live but they were scrappy and we might have been tired and overlooking them.

I saw the Limestone game live and thought that Stewart (0) and Kane (23) were solid looking players and pretty much had their way with us one on one.
