Winston to Nextel/Sprint to Monster
Monster Energy Drink new Cup Series title sponsor. Reported 5 year deal.

This is actually not the logo design for the NASCAR Cup series but a motorcycle cup series. But it gives you an idea what it may look like.

RE: Winston to Nextel/Sprint to Monster
They are paying 40% of what Sprint had been paying?

That can't be good for NASCAR.

Maybe the big decade long run was an outlier or a fad and now the popularity of NASCAR is where it should be.

Tennis, golf, and Sports Entertainment Pro Wrestling have gone through the same drops from very high levels.

Tennis, golf, and Sports Entertainment Pro Wrestling have gone through the same drops from very high levels.

There was a short period where it was the big thing. And tracks did over build.

Just like country line dancing was the big thing for a while At one time you could not get into a country bar on the weekend. Then the people moved on to the next thing and you had your normal crowd again.

But when the NASCAR ride at the top of "in" thing to do ended the tracks were still getting good crowds but not record breaking.

So when Brian took over in 2003 he thought he had to try and regain those bandwagon fans. He began to change everything about the sport.

Bandwagon riders not only did not come back but he began losing the base.

Just look at Roush.

NASCAR instituted the rule that organizations can field a max of four teams and Roush was the only one affected. Five to four teams.

They will be a two-team operation in 2017.

Dodge is looking to return so this may help some of the teams.
