Wait - you get on Mark as comparing UC to Virginia/Nova, but now you're basically comparing Mick Cronin to Marvin Lewis??? Big difference there too.

Mark was not comparing UC to those teams, he just randomly chose to post some numbers concerning college basketball offenses on a UC message board.

Kidding aside, what's so wrong about the ML comparison? As a Cincinnati sports fan I'm very thankful to both Cronin and Lewis for rescuing two of my teams from the abyss. ML can't get over the hump and neither has Cronin. AGAIN I'm feeling hopeful because of the apparent uptick in recruiting, we have a bunch of young guys who seem offensively competent already, but I believe it is very difficult to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament playing games like the one against Iowa ST. Maybe I'm wrong, that would be awesome also.

You win games in the NCAA by ending up on the positive side of exactly these kind of games. UC nearly always has a chance to beat every team they play. They just need to do it. And luck has a tremendous influence on it. Cincy's soooo overdue
