Watched the tornado in our area from top deck of my house about 12:00 yesterday...

Yah pretty crazy stuff there. I ran into a tornado as it crossed I-10 back in 93 or 94 that killed some folks in the Woolmarket area on the Coast. It's different in a moving vehicle with an obscured view due to trees and rain and then what appeared to be this weird wall of water. Everyone had stopped and I'm looking at all this stuff swirling around when I came to the realization of what was going on. I don't think anyone had figured it out yet but I went around all these folks stopped dead still on an Interstate and got the hell out of dodge! There's much more to this story that involved me realizing all these cars were not moving while I was going 70 and actually stopping without hitting any of them...it involved a few donuts, the grassy roadside, the people around me screaming in fear because they thought I had totally lost control, and me returning to my lane pointing the wrong direction! Like I said, I vacated the area as they all remained there stunned.

I was driving across I-10 a few years ago and watched a water spout/tornado form in Mobile Bay very close to land. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever witnessed.

And you didn't take a single pic or video with your phone?????????

Never seen a 'nader in person before....but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Growing up/living on the Coast, I've seen many water spouts. They are pretty cool...until you watch the sun coming up over Cat Island to the East as you are about to wadefish from an anchored 19 foot boat and turn West to see the approaching Thunderstorm has thrown a massive water spout heading your way!! Luckily it fell apart as it approached us.

I saw a huge waterspout over Lake Pontchartrain once. Also, one time, I saw Peja Stojakovic at Rite-Aid.

It's cloudy in Palmers today.
