In the last few min they switched to a 1-3-1. We played well against it but it definitely led to us shooting more threes than we had been in the 2nd half. Luckily, almost all of our shooters were locked in tonight.

Wish I had known it was on ASN. Doubt any mid-major has won as many road games as the Hawks. Very impressive.

I missed the game on TV but that is a great win and the shot! The shot was about a 10 on tough shot scale but hey it went in.

He has become a fearless shooter.

As someone who watches as much caa basketball as possible, what a great game/win that was last night for uncw. Ingram with those last shots, COLD BLOODED. Congrats on the win and helping carry the CAA banner! Looking forward to 12/31

Oh, I know we talked about this before the game, but last thing I'd like to say about Saturday's win:

We took their $85,000 AND the win in devastating fashion. That feels good.

When was the last time we got money like that AND a win? Have we ever done that?

Maybe Minnesota or N.C. State?

I don't have anything to factually back this up, but I'd propose winning like that and cashing a check is exactly what would lead P5 schools to politely decline a game or series with us right now.

Right now, yes. Down the road, no. Winning those games is exactly what you need to do to improve the quality of your schedule in future years. We need to become such a strong program that a series becomes attractive to higher caliber programs, as it would become mutually beneficial. Maybe St. Bonaventure or some other schools won't want to schedule a buy game OR a series with us because of a win like this, but others might if they view us as Top 50 competition. You can't build an at-large caliber resume without Top 50 games. You just can't.

Where we don't want to be is in the middle. Competitive, but not good enough to help another program's resume/schedule strength in any significant way.

As we said prior to Saturday's game, it's not outlandish to think we could end up in the A-10 some day, and that our win over SBU could in some small way have been an "audition". If so, it was an audition we passed with flying colors.

The great thing is that CoC beat Davidson this year as well. Having both schools show the A10 we can hang is huge, considering both of us want to make that jump and would be cool if we could do it together.
