Miles can't coach at Houston. They have plastic grass so he can't do his pregame grazing.

If he gets hired, everyone in the AD, especially AD Hunter Yurachek, needs to be shown the door. They need to go with the same formula that landed Briles, Sumlin and Herman. A hot assistant with Texas recruiting ties that can keep the train moving. Lane isn't an assistant but is way better in that role than as HC.

If he comes this way, he needs an OC with total control. He still is a big name that commands respect and can recruit his 'hiney off.

Les Miles would be a step backward for the Houston program. Houston deserves someone who actually wants to be there.

IMO Les Miles would be a mistake. Sure he brings name recognition but you have to wonder if the hunger is there, and you definitely have to be concerned about his historical aversion to innovative offense.

If it were me I would either go with Orlando, especially if he can keep Applewhite as an OC, or follow the same path that brought Herman to H-town and go after an innovative OC looking for a HC shot.

I'm hoping Dan Mullen takes the Arizona job and Miles replaces him at Mississippi State. Miles would be tougher to recruit against, but he'd be a lot more fun to play against.

I think Kiffen to Houston would be a mistake for both parties.

Dan Mullet & Lane Kittin have my votes.

I just hope Houston continues being the cradle for college football coaches.
