Stubhub prices for CCGs
If you want to see a CCG this weekend, what's the lowest price to get in as of now? Stubhub bottom prices for various CCGs. All are neutral-sites except for the AAC game, which is at Navy:
SEC ..... $97
MAC .... $54
AAC .... $32
PAC ..... $27
B1G ..... $21
ACC ..... $18

That's too bad for the ACC. It will actually be one of the better ones they've had.
I understand the Big 10 issue this year.
All I've got to say is way to go MAC!

The MAC game is at Ford Field. They originally had only planned to have the lower bowl open (about 40,000 seats) as most MACC games only have about 20,000 or less. They sold out the lower bowl yesterday so they have now opened up the 2nd and 3rd decks. Most likely this is what is contributing to the MAC tickets being so much higher than they normally would be.

The ACC game suffers from its sprawl. They've moved the game around a lot trying to find a center of gravity, and there just really isn't one anymore, not for football.

RE: Stubhub prices for CCGs
what is the BigTen Issue?
I would expect there to be a lot built up demand from Penn State fans. wisc fans may have a more been there done that attitude.
# of CCG appearances total for each BigTen team.
wisc 4 (2011, 2012, 2014, 2016)
MSU 3 (2011, 2013, 2015)
OSU 2 (2013, 2014)
Neb 1 (2012)
Iowa 1 (2015)
PSU 1 (2016)
Rut, MD, Mich, Indy, Pur, ILL, NW, Minn - zero

Their issue is that neither team will go to the playoff.

Interesting - would not have guessed that Michigan has never played for the B1G title.

From what I can tell --- there's fairly good demand from the Penn State side.
However, Indianapolis isn't the easiest drive for large chunks of PSU alumni. It's 5.5 hours by car from Pittsburgh, 8 hours from State College, 10 hours from Philly, 9.25 hours from Washington DC, 11 hours from NYC.
Also: PSU alums are more likely to settle down in the mid-Atlantic versus a city like Chicago. All the traditional B1G schools are the reverse: more alumni in Chicago vs. the mid-Atlantic.
Not making excuses, but there are some structural reasons why demand from the PSU side will never be "off the charts" for a B1G title game in Indianapolis.
That said --- I will be there. I live in Cincinnati, so I have no excuse.
Fun fact: Penn State will have (rather strangely) played 3 games this year in the state of Indiana --- the first time since 1939 that they have played 3 games in the same season in ANY state not named Pennsylvania. So from my point of view, PSU has had a rather favorable road schedule.

actually I thought about this a little. I believe the real issue is that too many Mich, OSU, and Iowa fans bought their CCG tickets early and are now trying to unload them.
On the other hand, Penn State and Wisc fans did not anticipate their teams going to the CCG this year after both lost 2 games early and now it is too late to make plans.
as for Mich never making a CCG, yes Mich is consistently over-rated since 2007 and often chokes in games that matters. most big ten fans know this but national fans do not.
and finally the idea that PSU and Wisc have no chance at the playoffs is just not true, and would not be a good excuse for poor attendence anyway.

MACC game is selling out fast. They sold out the lower deck early, so they opened up the 2nd and 3rd deck yesterday. The sites are showing that there are only 78 tickets left for this game. Stadium holds 65k.

ACC is due, right decision or not, from being PC and moving it in season from Charlotte to Orlando. It's a different story if CU and VT are in Charlotte vs several states away.

ACC would be a sale out if they had not moved from Charlotte. Shot themselves in the foot.

The ACC ticket price explains why the game was held in Charlotte.

That's true. I also suspect that not many people will choose to sit in the cheap ($18) seats, since there will likely be plenty of more expensive but still relatively bargain options in prime seating areas. They may be lucky to fill half the stadium even at those prices.

And dare I say it, ........the game is held during basketball season.

But I thought the MAC had like twenty fans.
One thing is for sure, Ford Field will be painted brown and gold on Friday. It'll be practically a home game for WMU, even if OU travels just fine by typical MACC benchmarks.
