RE: Blake Anderson Apparently Candidates for Baylor, Houston
as much hatred App fans has for UNC, if SS left for Chapel Hill, a lot of App fans wouldn't forgive him, they would understand why he did it, and I'm sure it wouldn't bother SS too much as he collects his million dollar plus contract, but that's the one school where App fans would consider it alittle bit of "salt in the wounds", not only is he leaving, but he is leaving to the school, that actively interferes in the every day activities at App, and has screwed us so many times. I would be happy for him for any other job he takes except that one.

OT RANT AHEAD

I can't stand when people use HC or C in front of their coach's initials...it reeks of SEC stink. Just go look on any of their boards. Dumbest crap I've ever read.

You could use NB and we'd know who you were talking about. Heck, you used LB and we all knew you meant Larry Blakeney.

One of the reasons I love our stAte board so much; it's not tolerated there. I encourage all SBC brethren to follow.

Besides, you used a 4-letter abbreviation to shorten a five letter coach's name in Brown. If you had used Neal, you'd still be put forth the same effort and you wouldn't sound like an SEC fanboy.

END RANT. Carry on.07-coffee3

If Fedora left, would Satterfield ever take the millions from UNC if they were thrown at him?
Epic Mind Blown

He very well could. He's from Orange County and UNC is a very good coaching situation (even though he'd always be number 2 to basketball). I'd hate to have to want UNC to win games though so let's hope that never happens.

I don't think they go after him though. Nor do I really think Fedora is gonna be that hot of a coaching candidate to the point any of the powerhouses would hire him away.

this was going to be the year Fedora took the program to the next level, and it just didn't happen, they we're looking atleast winning their division and playing in the championship, so I think at best Fedora is a backup candidate to these schools looking for a hc.

That seems to be a theme with the Fedora coaching tree . . .

Who would that be?

Cincinnati...His buyout drops off significantly next week. I think he gets let go and Brown is on their short list.

Yep. I believe it's December 7th. It drops from 2.4 to 1.5 million that day. I think he's gone as there have been several incidents that have show than Tubs has mentally checked out.

We did have a head coach that eventually made it to Chapel Hill in Mack Brown. Of course, he made several stops along the way in between.

I think the biggest drawback for Scott is his lack of P5 experience altogether. His only non App jobs were Toledo and FIU.

Chalk it up, no chance Larry is gone this year unless some other school poaches him. The guy is a good coach and no need to part ways after last years success and a decent year this year.

I don't think I'd ever be at the point where "HC--" pisses me off, but now that you mention it, it is completely unnecessary.

Troy has a great coach, wish he would stay atleast one more year, I understand that a coach has to be selfish and do whats best for himself and his family, but, it was just starting to really turn around for Troy, if he would just hang around for a year or two longer and strengthen the foundation, the next coach, would have a much easier transition.

I seem to remember Troy get an influx of players from UAB when they went through the football/nofootball period. Are those guys part of this team?
TROY only had 1 transfer from UAB in the defensive secondary. I believe USA got a good bit of the UAB players.

We got 10 players, Ga State got 6 players. Surprised that Troy only got 1.

Coach brown wanted a specific type of recruit. UAB didn't have what we wanted really

The "royal" titles for coaches annoys me to.

I've seen people call coaches by full name every time in a post, even if they are mentioned 10 times...example...

Coach Barry Smith has experience growing QB's. Coach Barry Smith is a good man. Coach Barry Smith will change our culture. I really appreciate Coach Barry Smith. Some day other people will be in awe of what Coach Barry Smith has done here. What do you guys think of Coach Barry Smith.

Dear God, stop licking. You can just call him that once and then Smith the other 9 times. Everyone will know who you mean.

I like when they go full name like they are their mother yelling at them. I know you must be a fan of Houston Dale Nutt (HDN)

Haha, I totally forgot about that one. I think Arkansas is the king of annoying coaching initials (HDN, BMFP, CBB)

Sorry, just something that bothers me. The rage grew slowly inside me. Lol

My fellow Red Wolves get it. Maybe it's just really bad here in Arkansas. I think it originated with Nutt and spread across southeast. I've heard callers on radio shows even use the titles in every sentence.

I commend App st. Fans though, I've yet to see HCSS or FSS from them.
