Southeast Missouri State fcs
Kansas 2-10
BG 4-8
Temple 9-3
Tulane 4-8
Southern Methodist 5-7
Cincinnati 4-8
Houston 9-3
Miss loss by 20
Navy loss by 14
Tulsa loss by 29
South Florida loss by 7
So other than Houston the other 7 Memphis wins came against teams that have a real problem scoring points....most are in the mid 20s
Teams that score a lot of points beat Memphis fairly easy. So yeah Western is a "terror" in CUSA. Not only this season but last year also...winning by 25+ points. Other than Tech...didn't matter the name of the school. Hell even add in a S. Miss school that had only their 2nd 9 win season in the past 10....
still was no match
Same goes for USF last year
But you are correct.....Western only beat 2 schools with a winning record and one other without a losing record. But you can bet your ass any Memphis player that see's Western lining up across from their team...
better be concerned
If not they just don't know college football. But then again there's a lot of that
Memphis' SOS is 58. WKU's is 89.

Would be a great game. WKU-Memphis would be fine by me.
Yes I know Memphis played the tougher schedule. But as I pointed out Memphis loss to most of the decent to good teams. Other than Houston the teams you beat played little in helping Memphis get that SOS. But that is usually the case for most schools in the 3 to 4 loss range.
This is the match up I want. Think it will be a good game but I do think Western's offense is the type that gives Memphis big trouble.
At some point in the near future as Western continues to grow Memphis is one of the OOC teams I want to see on Western's schedule.
SOS has nothing to do with who you beat or who you lose to, but who you play.
But even if you think otherwise, in addition to beating 9-3 Houston, Memphis also beat 10-2 Temple, the AAC East division champ, which is playing in the CCG against Navy. In the AAC, Memphis lost to 9-3 Tulsa, to 10-2 Navy, and to 10-2 USF.
Massey listed the AAC West division above the SEC East and above the Big XII. The final standings were Navy, Tulsa, Memphis, Houston, SMU, and Tulane.
While a WKU-Memphis bowl game would be great, in terms of OOC, Memphis for some insane reason has chosen home and home games over the next few years with ULM, Georgia State, and South Alabama. I would much prefer USM, WKU, or ArkState, and have no clue why the admin chose otherwise. Recruiting I guess.
