Early on, we had this locked up....then we decided to piss off Appy and (at the time) GaSo.

We're so off this year that even one of our cheerleaders got hurt and had surgery today.

If Anyone is interested, Texas State is giving away a PS4, a 40 Inch TV, 2 Sony Speakers, and will also pay for the tuition of 3 students for all of next year at the game Saturday

I agree that we are the worst, but how often is there a season where there are no 0-12 or 1-11 teams?

Oh well... if North Texas can rebuild from getting beat 66-0 by an fcs then we can rebuild as well.

Except. . . We have the added disadvantage of being saddled with an AD, and school administration committed to Mediocrity.

We have no winning culture, and no one driving the need to create a winning culture.

Until there are changes in leadership above the level of Head Coach, we will continue to get what we've gotten for years . . . .

Yeah we may have the occasional 6, 7, maybe even 8 win season. But by and large it's just business as usual in San Marcos. A mediocre Athletic program content with its own mediocrity . . . . .

You laugh... But you're not far off.

The team is horrible this year.
The game on paper doesn't look to be anywhere near competitive.
It's going to be chilly, windy, and rainy.
It's going to be on national tv, so many who are interested can stay home, warm, and drink for cheap.
There are a few other things going on around town (sights and sounds of Christmas for example)

It's not going to be pretty.

But honesty, at this point, I hope that this is our worst attended game of the season. While I believe that the Seniors deserve a good crowd, my fear is that IF a ton of people show up, our AD and administration will draw the wrong conclusions.

They may see it as: See, we don't have to produce a winner or any kind of winning culture, all we have to do is throw some stuff at 'em and they will come.

Perhaps the years of mediocrity have left me cynical and jaded. But until I see a real commitment from the AD and University Administration to seriously commit to winning, cynical and jaded is all I've got.
