I think the American needs to go to 18 teams, adding BYU, Boise, San Diego State, Army, Air Force, and New Mexico .

We need to add 116 teams. We'd then have every national title, playoff berth and major bowl covered. Pretty much every Final Four covered as well.

The 6th power conference can be the B12, if they ever get their sh*t together.

Could get rid off all conferences and go to a straight, double elimination format starting with 128+ teams (FBS + selection of FCS) after an 8 game regular season providing the seeding. Provides a minimum 10 games/team. Max number of games, played by two teams, is 16. Personally, I think this would be epic and would lead to far more parity in college football over time. Try not to be #129.

8 seeding games over 10 weeks (mostly random matchups determined right after national championship game of previous season? Army/Navy, etc. kept on schedules)

I don't think we need to add anyone for football unless somebody leaves. I think we are at the perfect number football wise. The only other add I would do would be Wichita St for Bball/Olympic sports.

Little money would be spread too thin by adding teams. AAC will not get inclusion by adding schools.

The AAC should dump Tulane (they suck at both bball and football) and invite Army (national following and more money from TV deal) as football only; 11 teams in bball is unwieldy and you could have end of the year rivalry football games of Army vs Navy, UCF vs USF, Temple vs UConn, Tulsa vs SMU, Houston vs Memphis, ECU vs UC.
