Also, thus far the committee has done a fine job IMO. You're just upset that your favorite team, WMU, isn't ranked in the top 10. They simply don't deserve to sniff the top 10 with that schedule, and the committee is making that clear.

As a WMU fan, i'm not upset that WMU isn't in the top 10, I'm upset that teams keep jumping them for no apparent reason. Boise was behind WMU all year, and then jumped us after beating a 4 win Hawaii team... what? Either schedule matters or it doesn't, I understand all that. But you can't arbitrarily decide that schedule matters NOW when it didn't the week before. Had Boise beaten a ranked team, or a 8 or 9 win team I'd get it, but it makes no sense how it is.

Also, it seems losses don't matter, which is stupid. I don't care who you've beaten, if you lose to an unranked team then you should be penalized.

If MD is angry that G5 won't ever make the playoff, that is one thing. But WMU is going to go to the sympathy Bowl, so I'm not sure why he is so upset.

Love to listen to Clay Travis discuss college football. He's based in Nashville and talks a lot of SEC, but also college football in general. To say Travis has "no filter" would be an understatement!

Clay's show from yesterday discusses the OSU/PSU choice facing the committee. I like his take on that, but of more interest is his solution for enlarging and improving the Playoff. Makes a lot of sense to me. Watch "Outkick the Show, PSU vs Ohio State and CFP Playoff. If you don't want to listen to the entire show, the PSU vs Ohio State and CFP segment starts at the 17:15 mark.

Also, good stuff on the "Outkick the Coverage" website. You can listen to past episodes of "Outkick the Show" there or subscribe (free) on iTunes.

College football postseason remains a joke. Until all conference champions have a chance at a playoff, the postseason will remain an arbitrary, subjective joke.

NCAA, please look at your FCS levels on how to run a real postseason.

This article was written by Huron Dave who is an EMU grad. The article was posted on the main MAC board. He obviously writes locally in Oklahoma. Honestly, the article was not that good. If there is an issue with the CFP committee, it has nothing to do with how they treat G5 schools, who have not made an argument as of yet to be considered for the final four.

correct. FBS football is a joke. the fact they have a model at the FCS, DII and DIII levels is asinine. Esp when the potential for money that could be made with that model.

Well this is sure to shake up the college football world and have the higher ups change their mind.

If this was a fair American system there would be a minimum 16 team playoff or a 28 team playoff like division 2 Football and All other American Football divisions except Div1.

As commissioner Delaney of the B10 ( most powerful person in college football) put it, he is paid by the B10 presidents to do what is in their best interests, not the college football fans best interest.)
Most B10 school presidents are of the opinion that a 16 team playoff is too stressful for the
Football athletes academic schedule, yet most American Colleges ( all of the no -Div 1a) colleges participate in a large and fair playoff system.

Bottom line Might be that the majority of B10 Presidents do not wish to share the Television revenue pie with the G5 schools.

Should at least move to a 6-team playoff; top 2 teams get first round byes. Ultimately the goal should be to create an actual 16-20 team playoff, but that's not happening for a while.

In reference to the article, if the old BCS formula was used 2 years ago, it would've been Alabama-FSU in the national championship. Don't forget they got manhandled by Ohio and Oregon in their respective games.

A 6 team play off works perfectly. The champion from each P5 and one G5 at large. That removes almost all of the speculative rankings/playoff debate. Yes, a top 5 team would probably be left out because their conference was very strong and the finished in 2nd. But they can't really complain because they lost their chance on the field, not by some comittee.

I'd personally like to see a 12 team playoff. Top 4 teams receive a bye.

P5 champs + Highest G5 finisher + 6 at-large bids.
