That would be interesting but would be a big blow to the conference

As a Hokie fan I realize that VT isn't ready for the playoffs yet, so winning the ACC CG isn't as important as the extra practice, experience and exposure. VT needs to keep progressing and will be ready to take another shot at the national championship in a few years.

RE: ACC Championship Game
In the complete spirit of #goacc, Virginia Tech (with nothing to lose) beats Clemson on a pick-6 late in the 4th quarter.

VT - 37
Clemson - 33

If Clemson can't beat a team with a bunch of "Caspers" for corners (PITT), how the hell are they going to fare against some of the best corners in the conference (VT)?

All I ask is for the Hokie players to start some smack in pregame warmups.

It's happened three times in the past almost two seasons.

Clemson 58 Miami 0
Clemson 37 Oklahoma 17
Clemson 56 S Carolina 7

Im in this camp! The Hokies arent there yet. They are too inconsistent. They have to put a complete game together to beat Clemson, and then hope the ball bounces right for them.

RE: ACC Championship Game
I want this to be the complete and utter cluster the ACC has tried so hard to make it out to be by stepping into a political fight it had no business being in, to say nothing of the overwhelmingly hypocritical nature of the position.

I want Virginia Tech in a blowout during a cold storm with wind driven rain with 20k in attendance. Don't chuckle too hard -- I bet it'll be closer to 20k than what attendance has been in Charlotte.

I pity the Hokies, all 13 of the other programs will be pulling for Clemson and the league office will have instructed the refs that at least $6 to $12 million is on the line.

Didn't seem to matter much at Papa Johns Stadium last Saturday.

A lot just depends which VT team comes out to play. Our good games look really good and our bad games look really bad.

What, against Kentucky?

Louisville lost its shot at the playoff when they lost to Houston.

Pretty much this. Hopefully they can bring the momentum from the last two weeks into the game against Clemson, cause we'll definitely need it.

Louisville lost out on the NY6 against Kentucky. That is an 8 figure pay loss for the league.

Admittedly I'm biased, but I'll lay this one at the feet of one Todd Grantham. I mean ... it's been a while since I've seen the straight up wildcat do so much damage.

Meh. We've been in a similar situation before, back in 2010; after the loss to JMU, all the ACC fans complaining about VT winning the ACC. Don't blame them since I understood the logic of their argument /angst, but as I said back then, "We aren't going to roll over and play dead. If you want us to lose, then just beat us on the field." I'm sure Clemson can win this game, but they should expect a fight. May the better team win.

There's several reasons for the loss. Quick dropping a TD pass that hit him in the numbers just before the half, turnovers & UK making our defensive secondary look like Swiss cheese throughout the game with a QB that isn't supposed to be good with the pass. Our D wasn't quite Pitt/Syr bad but that's an awfully low standard. The defense couldn't get off the field on 3rd downs. I agree with GT, Grantham & our defense were the biggest reasons for the loss.

I'm just curious, but could it be a hang-over from the loss to Houston?
