They are RS freshmen, I am curious to see what they could do with a better OC than Edmondson/Lynch. Also, Granson and German usually have better hands than they apparently showed yesterday.

You think we fans haven't been calling for this for years now? Plus, what up-and-comer would come to work for Bailiff at this point in his career? And despite changing coordinators a few times, not that much has changed over the years beyond the skill sets of th various players. Bailiff is the constant.

When great talent fell into his lap, starting with Barrick Nealy. Or Clement/Dillard/Casey/Sendejo. Or two corners who play on Sundays. Not consistently. Not even consistently with great talent. He was 5-6 with Nealy, 3-9 with Clement/Dillard/Casey/Sendejo, and 4-8 twice with Gaines and Callahan (Callahan did redshirt one of them). He was 2-10 in 2009 with 5 guys who currently play on Sundays, 4-8 in 2010 with 6 guys who play on Sundays, 4-8 in 2011 with 7 guys who play on Sundays.

Yeah. Line up and out-athlete people. That will never work consistently at Rice.

We fired Braun, Williams and Greenspan. The usual suspects screamed bloody murder but it all turned out for the better.

So yeah, firing the last holdout will change the culture. It's not about caring about winning or not, it's about being competent. Time to fire the incompetentsame.

Stand, cheer, victory is near.

Your boy Del Conte hired Bailiff. Your new boy Karlgaard gave him an extension. Turn the page on Greenspan already will ya? We all know you and Walt have been waiting for this moment for years. Let's see if JK will bail on Bailiff and come through for ya or if he sticks to his first gut decision as an AD. Either way, this call is all Karlgaard and you can get over it on Greenspan. Finally.

Didn't he hire new MBB and WBB coaches? I didn't realize we still had RG fans.

Not an RG fan. I'm ready to turn the page on the whole era. With this decision, whether he's fired or not, that is finally the case. This is all Joe's team, his fundraising results, his ticket sales results and his win-loss record. So we can stop making excuses about a previous train wreck AD. No need to being up May, Del Conte, Greenspan or anyone else. Luckily Joe is the best.
