I'm curious as to what role, if any, Texas had in denying B12 expansion knowing that Houston would've been the first choice. With that, it left Herman knowing that his best option to the P5 was with Texas. I can assume that if the case above could be proven that it may be considered tampering on Texas's part. It's my conspiracy theory and I'm sticking with it.

You are accusing Texas of "tampering" with the Big 12 expansion decision?

That's like me accusing Obama of "tampering" with the military's decision to withdraw from Iraq. He's in charge of that, just like Texas was in charge of Big 12 expansion.

If any Houston players actually believed anything Herman said about "never" leaving Houston, are shocked he left and consider him a liar, then that just means Herman recruited players who aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.

I would have assumed what Herman meant was "I am totally committed to the players in this locker room, until I decide to take a better job".

And there really is no contradiction in that.
