Is Son of Dixie still around?
Because Kentucky just clinched a winning season. Believe our record against P5 winning teams is at 2-40 now.

Uh, no. Not accurate.

However, Hopson has beaten a P5 team which finished with a winning record. As did Vann, Underwood, Collins, Carmody, Hallman and Fedora.

Bower and Monken never accomplished that feat.

To be fair to the OP, if you limit it to the actual BCS/P5 era, the count begins during Bower's tenure.

...I have a call into sod about his rules of the wins vs P-5/BCS teams who finish with a winning record...I believe his stats started as Harb stated...with that Bowers guy.....so this means Hop > Bowers.

Yes. SOD started the count in 1990.

We WERE a power program prior to that and won many games against such. SOD isn't the boss of us.

I thought Monk got one...but that seems so long ago now.

SoD is so put off by the admin that he won't even take free tickets to a game any longer after years of being a supporter/season ticket holder. I'll let him know he's been tagged but then I'll have to listen to a 30 minute diatribe about how all is lost and we'll never recover from the long past and recent bungles of the administration.

For a program built on toughness and tenacity, we sure have a lot of folks around who cry and bail out.

Harb, he needed a break. For 40 years he ate, drank, and slept USM football. We all know there are far too many fans/supporters, etc that we've lost over the last few years. At least he only roots for USM and hates all the P5 programs but many others have adopted new "teams" and moved on for good. I'll root for anything USM but if it weren't for the tax write-off, I'd probably not support financially. I have almost zero faith in our administration when it comes to athletics but I'd rather give $$$ to them than to Uncle Sam to waste.

Wait....what tax write off?

50% of your donations to the Eagle Club are tax deductible, unless something has changed recently. Doesn't really help unless you itemize deductions.

RE: Is Son of Dixie still around?
As long as I've been an EC member, it's 80% deductible. And the tickets are deductible if I give them to customers. I own a business but that only matters with the tickets, no different with EC tho.
