Schedule of EMU Football Team and areas to Improve for Bowl Game
EagleTough,
Will the football team resume practice this week? Do you know their practice schedule (ie do they practice m-f)?
Bowl Game Improvement Needed:
Offensive Line - the run blocking hasn't been very good the last several games especially during short yardage downs. I would like us to gain 200 yards on the ground and need the OL to get a push!!!
RBs - need Erickson, Turner, Banham healthy and ready to get 200 yds on the ground and 3 rushing TDs.
Off. Coordinator (Passing Game) - need 10-15 yard routes for our receivers. Too many times I've seen us be 3rd and 5 but the receivers are 25-30yards down field. Keep it simple and move the chains!
QB Roback - it's all about decisions, decisions, decisions for him. I would like to see a mid range passing game 10-15 yard completions. He's the most physically gifted QB in the MAC.
WRs - no dropsies.
DL - need to pressure the QB more. I love POC but he takes himself out of the play too often by trying to get to the QB by heading 10 yds past line of scrimmage before turning inward that often creates a big rush lane for the QB. Need to keep the QB pressured and contained.
LBs - truthfully I thought Rachwal played well against CMU but in general, I think our LBs have been average.
Corners and Safeties - we give too big of a cushion to the wideouts. We are young in general, but still need to see improvement on pass break ups and tackling.
Get Healed Up - Let's Roll!

Getting healthy has to be top priority. What was Gardner's injury?
