Should OSU be pulling for PSU today? PSU win would lock OSU into a playoff spot...
The only way I see OSU not making the playoff at this point is if they lose to Wisconsin in the B1G championship game which would likely leave #1 Alabama, #2 Clemson, #3 Washington & #4 Wisconsin. However, if OSU doesn't even make the championship game and everything else shakes out as expected it would likely be #1 Alabama, #2 Ohio State, #3 Clemson, and #4 Wisconsin/Penn St/ or Washington.

Accordingly, this puts OSU fans in a strange position of potentially wishing to not play the B1G championship in order to secure a playoff position. It also puts Washington in the position of pulling for Michigan St over PSU because that would greatly increase the odds of only one team from the B1G making the playoff.

Penn State wins. They win in a tie breaker over Ohio State going into the Big 10 Championship. If Penn State wins and then loses to Wisconsin? Ohio State won't get in.

They wouldn't wish that option, because Washington is likely in with a win. They don't want to be in contention with penn state for the last spot. You'd always rather have the option to play your own way in, then have to rely on someone else losing.

Not looking good for the Big 10. Wisconsin is losing to Minnesota right now.

They have a win over OU on the road. They are a lock.

I don't think they would have clinched if they had an OOC like the Huskies schedule.

How can OSU jump PSU if PSU wins the Big 10? Because of their 3 OT "wins" over Wisconsin, MSU, Michigan?
How you win should matter.

And blowing a Pitt game when your competition is playing OU on the road is why you get left out.

They need the Huskies to look awful next week (or Clemson upset) or they will be out.

Wasn't an OT win against MSU btw, Dantonio made sure of that.

Maybe they will punish OSU by sending them to Atlanta for not being a conference champ even though that contradicts how they've been ranking all year. They can drop them to 4 should Clemson and Washington clinch next week. Bama probably wants Washington but that's a fair compromise.

The only way I see PSU getting is if we get an upset or a 16-14 type Clemson/Washington victory on a missed chip shot kick while PSU blows out Wisconsin.
