Bielema is probably fine for the next couple of seasons if he makes some changes. Mostly an entire overhaul of the defense.

Not a good year to be looking for a new head coach. The pool of candidates appears thin, as we can see by the reports that UT will keep Strong and LSU will keep Orgeron if they don't get Herman. So it would be surprising if Bert was canned.

Bert needs to fix that defense. Red zone offense too

I kinda expect Bielema to try and get the Baylor job. He could milk 4 or 5 million per season from them. He could do that for another 5 seasons or more.

Bielema is safe for this year, because of his huge buyout. However, I believe the buyout drops significantly next year. So I would say next year will be his last.

Lots of teams lost to teams with lesser records on this last weekend, UNC, ASU, Arkansas. There were others.

Boise State lost was a good lost in Air Force. If Boise State was on the MWC west division? They would be at 12-0 heading to face Wyoming in the MWC CCG.

How does Bret Bielema factor into this?

Would a new coach really help with Arkansas's situation? Will they actually be in any better recruiting stature with this happening. I would be politicking to go to the SEC East instead.

To win at Arkansas a coach must have recruiting connections in Louisiana and Texas. Something that Bielema is just now really starting to understand.
