Memphis vs Houston and Air Force - Boise State
Memphis up on Houston 34-17! Also need Air Force to come up big against Boise! Of course this only matters if Western takes care of business against Toledo and Ohio. While I definitely will be pulling for the Bobcats in the MACC it will also be fun as heck having Western in a New Years 6 bowl game carrying the MAC Flag!

Houston's getting butt-rammed, that's for sure. It's pretty sweet.

When coach is rumored to be gone the team lays an egg. Same thing happened to Toledo last year

But they're special cuz AAC.

Also, I don't think it's any coincidence that UH died halfway through the season when Herman rumors really picked up, and are falling apart today after they've blown up again.

Houston takes the lead with 7 minutes to go. Memphis with an epic collapse. Zero points in second half after scoring 34 in the first half.

Who cares? Houston finished in like 5th in their division. Still shows how good the AAC West is. At least how good the offenses are in that division. That game never had MAC inplications. Herman is gone and Houston will likely lose their bowl game as well.

Houston loses to Memphis. Pretty good game made even better by Houston losing.

Um, the Houston / Memphis game had zero meaning to WMU's access bowl chances. Zero. Houston had no path to the AAC championship game.

At least all the AAC trolls will be off our board. Houston and Boise choked and have zero chance of playing a meaningful bowl game.

The Navy pimping will now commence. Committee may be itching to boost a service academy "name."

Great win by WMU in front of great crowd on ESPN2........way to take charge! I don't see how they leave out an undefeated WMU at this point.

But Navy grads have jobs, so not trolling like Houston folks.

Yes, I could easily see the committee wanting a service academy in the Cotton Bowl.

Also WMU still getting minimal respect on the main board. Now it's all 'Navy to the Cotton Bowl.'

AAC is picking up steam as a conference only a half step behind the B12 this year.

B12 expansion was supposed to take care of it by adding Houston, Memphis and Cincinnati to the conference.

Is the AAC sticking together going to drive the idea of a second autobid for the G5? It would be fun to have 2 autobids to make it seem like wildcards. To get the P5 to agree to this they'll need 2 more bowls to make it a NY8 (Holiday, Capital One). Until the situation arises where 2 G5 champs go undefeated and one gets left out you won't see much talk of it.
