OT. LSU. OT OT OT
Hopefully extra OT let those who complain realize this is OT.

ESPN reporting Tom Herman to LSU. Now Texas may not move on Strong

and if it's about sports then it's not "off topic" in my book...only one person complains about that stuff and he does not matter here any longer.... RF's latest go around of about half dozen ediot things he has said has done him in....a certain person in charge has him in his sights.

Texas must move on its existing coach before making a 'real' offer. Ol Mark May just had a hissy fit.

I know you have trouble keeping up, especially when reading is involved. But when someone puts, "OT" in the title, it informs people its "off topic". People with class and good sense usually put OT in the title when they post an off topic thread. People with no sense and no class usually do not put OT in the thread title when they should. Its internet etiquette. Old people dont understand this either. Some people dont understand the concept because they meet the trifecta.

Also....there is a forum on this board entitled Off Topic. Its described as "Things not related to southern miss sports." Its there for a reason, despite "your book" . No one cares about your book. The board owners and moderators are what matters.

I'd pay to watch it if it ever happened. But my guess is no introduction would be made. Probably be a bunch of hair pullin and kickin anyways.

The existence of the sub-forum entitled "Off Topic" should eliminate the need for anyone to ever have to label a post in this forum "Off Topic." If the poster has enough awareness to label a post "OT," then they obviously realize it's "Off Topic," and should subsequently just put it in the proper f***ing forum in the first place. It's like announcing to the world, "I know this is a square peg, but I'm just gonna jam it into this round hole anyway because I have the critical thinking skills of a potted plant."

I am in agreement with NG that stuff about college athletics in general isn't necessarily off-topic. Coaching changes in particular have a huge ripple effect with a decent chance of affecting USM eventually.

LSU football *is* related to Southern Miss sports. We're like, second cousins or something.

OT as long as it relates to college athletics is fine in this forum IMO. Politics and other random stuff belongs in the other forums.

Keep the politics, very OT topics and jibberish on the other boards. College athletics info (within reason) with "OT" in the title is fine.

Since that's all cleared up, it's going to be interesting to see how Houston recovers if they lose their coach. Also, who pucks up Miles after all this? The off-season should be fun.

Yes, always be sure to include the "OT," because when people see a thread entitled "LSU" or "Big 12 expansion," they need an additional and specific warning that it's not directly about things happening at USM. We wouldn't want their little fern brains to be confused, now would we?
