I still don't think he goes to LSU. He heads to Texas.

I guess we will see. What we do know is that Herman is GONE. 03-lmfao

It's ok. Relax. Everyone knew Houston was a stepping stone for Herman.

I'm actually pretty comfortable with the news (though it could just be the turkey and beer). No real shame in losing out to LSU, plus A&M's losing rn so that helps a little. Still would have liked two more years but this is the reality of hiring up and coming coaches. Hopefully we'll make a good hire and avoid ending up in UC's precarious situation.

You guys wouldn't think about Orlando? I feel like he would be a pretty good hire.

That being said, you're in prime position to get another strong up and comer...having been in those shoes, I'd pick someone who works their ass off for a few years then leaves over an "established coach" any day of the week.

Oh good grief kronke. Lol. You act like you are the only school with big money folks. Lol.

Herman has been gone. I told you dumb dumbs months ago.

Can I not have some fun as I witness my program be ripped apart limb from limb?
Herman skillfully exploited the existing resources and advantages of Houston. His success was not magic and nothing magical will be needed to continue success. Everything is in place for the next coach to exploit.

but will Houston hold it together? Are the good recruits they have for next year dependent on who the coach is? (ie will the recruits leave now that Herman is leaving?)

Orlando or Riley for me. Tough choice. Ideally Riley as HC and retain Orlando as DC, but that probably isn't possible.

There are a limited # on here that even know who that guy is. He's 10+ years older than I am.

However, my father followed SEC football like a hawk and so I know exactly where I was Halloween night 1959; right in front of a huge floor model Hi Fi stereo listening to the Ole Miss broadcast.

I've pulled some of the more jumpy/nervous UH fans' chain in jest regarding some things, but I would like to see Herman stay in Houston and the Cougars continue to build a quality football program. Everyone is this conference is building better programs and as long as we are all together here, I'd love to see this conference become as strong as possible.

Agree. Although not as bad, it always amazes me how Louisville fans will defend their dirtbag coaches tooth and nail. Sorry, my University's reputation is more important to me than winning games.

WKU fan lol. Anything to make you feel better about yourself right.

Don't get ya. I feel fine with all aspects of my life. I was complimenting the job the coach had done at Houston and saying I hoped he stayed. Better wording instead of meltdown would have be chaos. But nice try ...

I saw it on the same TV as everybody else, I take no pleasure in other teams pain ..... Unless it's because we beat them. I truly just enjoy being in conversations and love sports
