If beating Florida State in basketball in any season is a 'huge win' for the AAC, this conference is in worse shape than I thought.

I know you are just trolling, but the league needs wins like this. Even a giant UC homer needs to recognize the need for these kind of wins from the league to get the RPI up.

Great job Temple. Keep rolling.

Florida State has a very good basketball team this year. They will finish in top part of AAC

UC beat them in the 2012 NCAA Tourney third round when FSU was a 3seed and won the ACC Tourney and I still don't call that a 'huge win' for UC....and FSU had a really good team that year.

Because 2012 Florida St = 2016 Florida St... So many of the same players...

lol wut?

I wasn't comparing the two teams. My point was, UC beat a very good FSU team in 2012 in the ncaa tourney and I don't consider it a 'huge win'....its FSU, not Duke.

Temple has beaten Duke in the last 5 years has Cincinnati? I don't think Cincinnati fans should be elitist to "huge wins", for this young team and the way the season was going this was a huge win

Cincy was in the big east 7 years and made the tourney 3 times. I can understand UCONN's feeling but Cincy has been a very comparable program to Temple over the last 10 years that both Cronin and Dunphy have been at each school.

RE: 11-24-16 Men's BB
The AAC has what it takes to be a very good basketball conference.
UConn,UC,Memphis and Temple should be in the NCAA tourney most if not every year.
SMU has stepped up and is good
Tulsa should also make runs every so often
Houston and UCF are going in the right direction
Tulane and ECU are in holding pattern
USF right now is the only regressor

So the league has the pieces to be a 4-5 bids a year out of 11. I wish we pulled the trigger and added Wichita State.

But I'm starting to think that the league as a whole is spending more in upgrading football and in some schools basketball is suffering. But let's all be realistic I love basketball but football runs the show otherwise UConn and UC would be in P5 and it is that label that's holding our schools down. So I can understand why spending money in football and try to move off the G5 label, either as a team invited to a P5 or getting the entire league moved to an in between label not P5 but not G4 it is that move that will keep our programs growing not a great basketball one.
