Eastern Michigan with a win over NAIA Madonna? Yeesh!
Was Ypsi HS not available?

This is their 2nd win over an NAIA School this year (Rochester College)??

They have a 3rd game scheduled against another NAIA School, Siena Heights, on 12/11???
And a 4th against another NAIA School, Marygrove College, on 12/22????

Do these even count as a wins? Pathetic....

Akron also has a game the 26th. The opponent will either be Mercer or East Carolina.

I think they should only make NAIA (literally Community College level) teams Exhibition Only *before* the season. They shouldn't count.

There's enough teams in D1 (~350), where nobody needs to go dipping into D2, let alone NAIA.

The second Toledo/MTSU game may feature Toledo as the home team but it is in Nashville.

MTSU beat Toledo by ten the other day and famously knocked off MSU in March last year.

I think Ohio plays Urbana so I'm not going to judge. The wins count except in the eyes of the NCAA Tournament committee. When you see the record posted on the brackets these wins won't show up.

One game against a non-D1 school a year, acceptable. Urbana is at least DII.
Just like one game against one FCS school a year in football.

4 games against NAIA, pathetic.

If you talk to any EMU fan they aren't too happy about those games either. However from what I understood, the MAC requires each team to have 6 home games out of conference and those NAIA games are the cheapest and easiest way to guarantee fillint that obligation.

EMU plays 3 to 4 non D1 games every year and every year its the mandatory 6 home game excuse. I know scheduling is hard but I find it hard to believe that EMU can't find more than 2 D1 teams to play at home.

Hopefully Mercer. If we play ECU that means we lost to Air Force.

our coach has come out and explicitly stated that it's a financial move. why would we schedule those teams for anything other than financial reasons? D-III an hour away is cheaper than any other possible opponent. this is relevant because our athletic department has less revenue than other MAC schools. plus, we don't gain anything from those games. there's no incentive to pad our record because there's nothing to be gained.

Ohio fans should be more embarrassed by their own OOC schedule. And we wonder why we never have any at-large contenders. Find one potential statement win out of those teams.
