I personally could not make it due to family plans I could not afford to miss, but I tuned in on my phone as well

1398 official attendance tonight.

Nice to get back in the W column today. Need to win a few upcoming road games to make up for these last two home losses.

German had 17 points and 3 turnovers. If that isn't good, I'm not sure what you want.

AA's family sat in front of us. They are big fans of their son, clearly.

Georgeborkfan, I was talking about him playing defense. He played well offensively but still struggles to stay in front of people when guarding them. He was atleast trying to defend in this game.

Theme of this Saturday's non-conf games might be "MAC strikes back"

Justin Thomas keeps forcing the coaches to play him. Solid defender. Offensively unselfish.

McCarty looks to be a good one too. He's catching on quickly.

Just wait until next year. Lacey James looks to be the real deal.

RE: Thanksgiving Tourney
At the game tonight and one thing that struck me is this team seems to really pull for each other. I particularly noticed the team (including Porter) rallying around German tonight giving him a ton of encouragement. I know it is all about production but I think in the long run this will pay off for the team if they keep together as strong as they appeared tonight. One thing is apparent is we have allot of depth on this team. Maybe not a stand out stud star but lots of solid contributors

The women blew out Illinois State by 42 tonight, 108-66. And the game was not as close as the score indicated. What a pleasure it is to watch these women play!

I hope you are right about James, but was there a reason he saw such little playing time at his previous school?

James was top 10 prep player in Michigan. Verbally committed to University of Detroit, reopened his recruiting and signed with Rider. Played sparingly his freshman year and left the program in mid-season (January).

I guess my concern is how come he couldn't get significant playing time at a school like Rider

Poor Bill Baker. He announced the football game at Kent on Friday, then came back and did both basketball games on radio yesterday. I'm sure he's feeling his age today.

I think someone told Garcia not to show NIU favoritism on the ESPN3 broadcast. He goes into this scream when the opponent scores and then sounds like someone ran over his dog when NIU scores. It's kind of funny

Sort of makes sense. Even though it was an NIU stream, the two teams were both Chicago area teams.
