We'll find out this spring if the reason the NHL rejected Quebec was because of trouble brewing in Carolina. Karmanos is making insane demands and just lost $100 million in a lawsuit to his 3 kids. Attendance amplifying the problems.

UCF should sue...

I had heard Knights would be part of the name. I was hoping for Silver Knights over Golden Knights. Also, Law Vegas over just Vegas.

Good point. California is the Golden State. Nevada is the Silver state. Should be the Silver Knights

I googled up that article about that.... a very interesting deal indeed... but then, why do the re-location out of Hartford if he was going to have to subsidize his move like that? It will be interesting to see how this plays in league circles due to revenue sharing and tv deals. He has been trying to take on more partners down here and what not over the last 2-3 years. And if some of his sons work for other franchises one could say that is a conflict of interest on their part in some way. Pro sports franchises and leagues are some of the most dubious enterprises out there.

As far as the Canes performance vs. attendance--I can't argue against we are due for a playoff run to get the spark back. I think the current coaching staff and management are on the right track and same page finally... and its starting to pay/show dividends. I believe Raleigh can support a NHL team.

I thought Silver would have been better, also. Then I read in the press release that Nevada is the nation's largest supplier of gold. I did not know that. So it make a bit more sense. Still think the Raiders need to get out there asap.

It should have been the Black Knights but once again the West Point administration messes up.

Still, I will become a hockey fan now and root for them.
