I agree, his wisdom is certainly there but he also has a way of praising the other team for their effort but not making them out to be the Grizzlies. he knows he is about to find out a lot more about his team.

We haven't had an adult press conference in basketball for a long time
Please do you ever get tired after at least 3 years making your point in 100 different ways? Tubby is not by any means a good public speaker.
The truth hurts, ace...
Tubby is, by all means, a good basketball coach and after each game they have a forum for him to speak. In that setting, he is a great public speaker. So there ya go, chief.

Truth!
This poster needs to follow his own advice regarding making his point 100 different ways when it comes to Bowen and how the Athelitic Dept handles "relationships".

To Both:
Find 10 posts where you claim I did that. I can find thousands since Pastner LET GO.
Did you get your feelings hurt when your parents told you there wasn't a Santa Claus?
BTW, I like Tubby. Don't think he was the right choice for the job (for recruiting and promotional reasons) but I like him. He did struggle a bit with ESPN halftime reporter asking questions.

"by any means" is a broad spectrum. If you're talking traditional, political or public motivational speaker - no. But many judge public speaking on quality and structure of content. He does pretty well. Others are attracted to snake-oil, buzz word, flattery...

I may have stretched the meaning of that phrase:
by any means, in any way; at all:
We were not surprised at the news by any means.
Just meant to say he has some issues with public speaking as most do. These posts after every game on his press conferences being so great are a bit much. We get Pastner rambled, cliched, back tracked, etc. But it's been 4 games now-we get it.
