To a degree this is what comes with moving up in the world (referring to our joining the AAC). Further you climb up the ladder the more egos collide. I think any fan base would have its fair share of bold talkers if their team dismantled the #3 team in the nation. I do recall pretty similar bravado out of Memphis fans last year and yall finished 3rd in the West. With that said, I believe that confidence was earned because of yalls kick ass Ole Miss win.

Obviously it would be nice if we could just purge the board of every obnoxious fan but that just isn't realistic. With the way this conference is trending I can almost guarantee you that we'll have at least one nationally competitive team every year. More than likely X team's fans will be loathed by everyone else. Is what it is. Good news is nobody has a strangle hold on this conference, so that position will rotate quite a bit.

It's just mainly plastic, Kronkite, and Big Enema Head that do most of the talking. Most Houston fans are very level headed.

For the record oldtiger, I don't care which fan base from this league are arrogant or obnoxious, doesn't bother me one bit... Some of you may view us as such but in all honesty our behavior comes from way way back, the SWC days... I recall moments when my father, family members and family friends constantly getting into arguments with Horn fans, Aggie fans every single time our beloved programs face each other and others from the SWC but particularly them Texas and A&M fans. :mafia:

The SWC was crazy but very competitive... Who knows perhaps the AAC can mirror some of those things b/c at the end of the day it benefits $$$ everyone in this league.
