What a time to be alive. Who knew 6-6 could feel so amazing.

As an aside, what the hell was Mike Neu thinking late in the game? On 4th and 3 around the Miami 45 with less than three minutes to go, he punts down by a single point. What do you gain by that? But I'm not gonna complain.

Had Natson managed to hang onto that pass, you guys would be heading to Detroit.

RE: Miami Fans Right Now
Awesome turnaround for Miami!!! Who knew the matchup earlier in the year would be for MAC East title. Perhaps next year Ohio-Miami will be preseason 1-2 and make for a great atmosphere for the game in Athens! It would be nice to stoke this rivalry back up! Now just get the hoops turned around! Playing Miami in front of a packed Convo again would be awesome. The Akron basketball rivalry is ok but it doesn't compare to what OU and Miami had going when the Hawks were competitive!

Miami looks good, real good. 2017 could be a banner year. They will be tough to beat.

Sep. 2 at Marshall Thundering Herd
Sep. 9 Austin Peay Governors
Sep. 16 Cincinnati Bearcats
Sep. 23 TBA
Sep. 30 at Notre Dame

So, probably 1-3 coming into MAC play

RE: Miami Fans Right Now
Miami has only nine seniors now, we lose a couple of solid players but pretty much all of our two-deep returns (and our best WR hopefully heals up from a nasty knee injury) with our whole backfield is coming back. Our non-conference schedule looks to be more kind than this year, as we start at Marshall, host Austin Peay and UC, then visit Notre Dame. It may be a special year for us.

Marshall was pretty terrible this year. I'd guess they are 2-2 when OOC play ends.

Im thinking Miami could be 3-1. Wins over Marshall. AP, and UC and the loss to ND

And UC only won 4 games after they narrowly escaped us. We'll get at least one win from Marshall and UC

Please let it be Marshall!!!!! I know you guys want UC but Marshall would be a nice consolation.

RE: Miami Fans Right Now
Why not both? Now that our young team has finally "learned to win," we don't have much of an excuse to take care of business against inferior competition with most our team returning. Moral victories shouldn't cut it anymore, we need to go 3-1 if we are to truly advance as a program.

Not necessarily. Marshall is horrible this year and they've played Cincinnati though these past couple years. Not saying they'll beat Cincinnati, but I like their chances vs Marshall.

ND is not an automatic loss. In college FB if you are not a a top 15 team , you can get beat if not ready to play. See Okie St - CMU. That is an upset I would love to see happen.

RE: Miami Fans Right Now
I think with Miami doing well, Ohio being a good/decent team as normal, and BGSU following thru on their improvement from this year in coaching transition & post-Matt-Johnson -- AND NIU coming back from injuries and having a down year back to being at least a good winning team... the MAC will be stronger next year than this one. I hope to see more OOC wins by the MAC next year.

RE: Miami Fans Right Now
I don't know what happened to Marshall this year....coming off 3 straight 10 win seasons they just fell apart this year. Rumors are that many of their players may not even be returning next year (and their Coach threw a few off the team this year already), so yes, that ought to be a very winnable game for Miami next year!
