SUCKERVILLE
That is what we will become if we don't fire that clown after the game.

As fans of other teams prepare for big games this weekend, we end the season in the Tulsa Bowl.

Don't even let him on the plane. He can take his severance and buy his own ticket.

His condescending attitude toward players and fans alike is not welcome here.

Bring back championship football to UC.

Stay out of the hospital apothecary. That ship is sailing down the AAC river to land some where between Oxford and Bowling Green.

I've returned to my senses. For the record that puts us in Minster at Bruce Monnin's place.

As long as the AAC River doesn't flow through my place...

By the way, there is a river, called the Ark-KANSAS, that runs by my town. Yes, they DO pronounce it that way. The rest of the civilized world pronounces it correctly.

Up by Minster there is a place called Russia they pronounce Roo-see, there is a place called Versailles they pronounce ver-sails (except at the "French" hotel downtown), and there is a place called Houston they pronounce House-ton. All of this was discovered at a cross-country meet.

My roommate my freshman year was from Bellefontaine. Spent a weekend up there with a bunch of people. Good times.

Love it. Putting it on the list. Moderators please rename this thread "small towns in Ohio that that can't pronounce their name". Much better than the redundant "suckerville".

Hey now, be careful of where you're going with this.

I live 10 miles north of the town. The area was heavily settled by German (Maria Stein and Minster especially) and French (Versailles) settlers. They named themselves after, or kept traditions of, various locations of their home country.

I love the Minster-Versailles-Maria Stein area...

FWIW, there is a Versailles, Indiana, pronounced exactly in the same fashion. Right down the road is Napoleon...

And there is a Versailles just outside of Pittsburgh...again, pronounced the same way. So... you're not alone.
