RE: Open Thread 2016 - Week 13
Today probably marks the crater point for the Mike Bobinski brand of Georgia Tech Athletics. The basketball team is maybe the worst P5 in the entire country. All of the lesser programs except golf have gone from ranked every year to competent but floundering (women's tennis, volleyball, baseball, women's basketball). The football team just came off its first non-bowl season in a generation. And despite firing a coach GT couldn't beat and then cratering themselves, GT is still getting blown out by one of the worst UGAg teams in the last 15 years. This will be twice in the last 10 years that Vanderbilt beat UGAg .... and GT couldn't do the same.

When does Todd Stansbury get in the driver's seat again?

Louisville is going to end the season by getting waxed by an AAC also-ran and SEC East never-was aren't they?

I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech, and a hell of an engineer—
A helluva, helluva, helluva, helluva, hell of an engineer.
Like all the jolly good fellows, I drink my whiskey clear.
I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer.

Oh! If I had a daughter, sir, I'd dress her in White and Gold,
And put her on the campus to cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son, sir, I'll tell you what he'd do—
He would yell, 'To hell with georgia!' like his daddy used to do.

Oh, I wish I had a barrel of rum and sugar three thousand pounds,
A college bell to put it in and a clapper to stir it round.
I'd drink to all the good fellows who come from far and near.
I'm a ramblin', gamblin', hell of an engineer!

Unbelievable that Georgia blew this game against Georgia Tech. You have the ball and a 13 point lead with 10 minutes to go against a mediocre ACC team and yet somehow lose, to a team that completed SIX passes all day and who you out-rushed as well?

Ridiculous fourth quarter.

Reminds me of 2014, when Tech won miraculously in OT after dumb UGA mistakes.

Also the first time since 1977 that GT lost to Clemson, but beat UGA.

LOL -- Now I know why GT won: UGAg hired Brian VanGorder as a consultant just for the triple option. He was even in the coaching box for UGAg.

What are you TRYING to piss PJ off?

RE: Open Thread 2016 - Week 13
I see Card fans are enjoying the fruits of a Todd Grantham defense. What you saw today was par for the course for UGAg playing SEC teams under Grantham. So don't expect this to get much better Card fans. This is why I was so irked when UofL payed UGAg a million dollars to take him away.

41-38 Kentucky final. I'm going to bank that as another UGAg loss though (Grantham) and consider that the ACC going 2-0 so far in SEC rivalry weekend.

Louisville was a leading candidate for the playoffs just a couple of weeks ago. Nice way to close out, Cards.

They probably now drop to the Citrus/Russell/Gator.

And that probably also cost the ACC several tens of millions of dollars.

Side note from COFH:
GT had more passing yards than UGA.
UGA had more rushing yards that GT.
