For fun, how would you rank the top 12 tonight?
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. Wisconsin
5. Washington
6. Clemson (I don't see what everyone else seems to. They played a very favorable schedule and have been a play away from losing five games this year).
7. Oklahoma
8. Colorado
9. Penn State
10. USC
11. Oklahoma State
12. Florida

They have a Veteran QB, a good defense, great wideouts, tough RB, good coach
They haven't played as inspired this year as last year...they sort of drag their feet through games, but they come together for big games. I think they're the ONLY team that can beat Alabama this year...

Do we really know that though? In my opinion a good defense can hold a good offense to a 24 or less points. It's not impressive when you are playing teams like Syracuse, Auburn, Boston College, or Georgia tech.
It's more telling that when they have played any team with a remote pulse it's been a high scoring game.
Louisville 36 points.
FSU 34 points.
Pitt 43 points.
Their RB is not that impressive in my opinion either....compare him to our RB who did not even start the first few games.
USC- Ronald Jones II 141, 893, carries, 10 TD
Clemson- Wayne Gallman 160 carries, 831 yards, 13 TD
And we probably have the 4-5th best RB in the Pac-12.....
Clemson is good again, I don't get the hype. Hardly anyone would bet on Clemson vs any other team in the top 10.

well, the way Clemson has played...they've definitely left themselves open to criticism
I see the talent there...they have the potential to pull together for big games. I think they'll definitely win out and be in the playoffs...whether they can channel that and come together is a different story.
For their sloppy games, they did overcome FSU and Louisville, two teams with excellent offenses. Louisville is #1 in scoring offense and total offense.

Anyone who puts Louisville over Houston shouldn't be allowed to rank teams any longer.

So should everyone on the committee be fired?

I think Washington is looking good, but they need some margin in these next two games. OSU win and in. PSU/Wisconsin on the outside looking in. LSU win not looking as impressive.

Well, seven of them, anyway. Fact is, though, the committee is no better at ranking teams than any random group of 12 reasonably intelligent college football fans.
