And our AD is a doofus for signing any of these coaches to long term deals. I don't care what the market says about what coaches should get..these coaches haven't proved crap before getting to USM, and you would think getting burnt once would teach them something.

4 years is one freshman-to-senior class cycle, not a "long term deal." Any coach who would sign for less than that would have to be ridiculously desperate and would make Hopson look like Bear Bryant.

It's also the maximum allowed in this state. We couldn't sign anybody for longer if we wanted to.
