Memphis entertainment consumers are two things - fickle and savvy.

The University of Memphis basketball program had several issues heading into this season and only one - on the court winning - can be improved during the season.

It is a good show. And cupcake city or not, they are playing as a team and you see improvement. Also, I've noticed zero drama on the court or bench. Something will happen sooner or later, but the environment is so much better.

Came home for two weeks this year. 13-27. Been to three Tigers games. I sat for the opener and after about sixty seconds, I turned to my dad and said, "This is the most fundamentally sound Tigers team in 6 years."
They have been fun to watch.

Horrid overall schedule
No urgency to construct 2016 roster

And the discerning customer can even see the connection between the last two.

Like I said, only on the court can be overcome this year.
