Coaching Changes
So it looks like Charlie Strong is going to be out at Texas. One would expect Tom Herman to fill that role.

Coach O is probably not staying at LSU. I would guess Jimbo Fisher takes it, but who knows.

Who goes to Florida State?

Who takes the Baylor job?

Where does Les Miles land? Does someone finally give Orgeron another shot?

Anyone else on the hot seat that we should be keeping an eye on?

Not a major job but I hear Cincinnati is going to make a change. NC St is a possibility.

Jimbo may stay at FSU for family reasons.

So glad Brett sent Charlie Strong a message of understanding or something...just hope he added a job offer at the bottom

I concur. We need a revamped staff if we are to ever make any head way in the west.

I would stay at FSU for "living in Florida" reasons. FSU is just as much, if not more, a national brand. It will all about the money though.

Does Ole Miss make a move if they lose to Miss St? LSU should replace O as well as he is not the answer long term.

Other than that I see everyone staying in a holding pattern unless Saban or Sumlin up and leave.

I think Sumlin might be gone...

There are PLENTY of good coaches out there though...

I definitely think Les Miles and Coach O will find somewhere to go

what about Brian Kelly??

How come no one has jumped on Lane Kiffan??? Also, you have the Colorado coach, and Greg Schiano hanging out there...

From what I've heard, he has joint custody of his children...

I think it would be a mistake to fire Freeze. He's taken Ole Miss to heights they haven't seen in decades. A bad year every now and then should be tolerated.

Reports have LSU hiring coach O today. Guess Texas has won the Herman sweepstakes. How long does O last at LSU? My guess is not long.

Is it me or did LSU just do a very dumb hire? I bet Les would've had the same record as coach O. LSU needed a a flashy hire that brought an exciting offense. Think of a spread offense with Louisiana talent, scary stuff right there. Maybe the rumors of kiffin coming along are true. I know Coach O is likable but that doesn't mean it is a good fit.

Mark Stoops job is obviously secure now. Great win for the Cats, they obliterated the Cards defense. Congrats.

Coach O needs to do the following to succeed:
1. Make offense more explosive and less one dimensional
2. Hire an OC that can do that
3. Maintain defense
4. (If he wants to keep the job long term) beat bama

I'm with you. Don't see Kiffin making a lateral move either, he will probably get an HC job.

Speculation is that Iffy Kiffy might be on the Oregon short list.

I think part of the reason Saban admitted Steve Sarkisian to the Saban School of Rehabilitation is because he knew Kiffin wouldn't be around much longer. Actually, it was expected that Kiffin was gone last year, but I suppose he didn't get a decent enough HC offer.

If he does go to Oregon then I guess that's probably as good a job as he's going to get. He's a very good OC and could be a nice HC with a little more maturity and discipline. All in all, Kiffin didn't really do that bad of a job at USC. They were coming off probation and those scholarship limitations will hamper you.

If he does go on to Oregon then I wish him well.
