Weekly press conference
Coach Carey said Graham (concussion) is out this week and Lurry (ankle), Folliard (concussion) and Bouagnon (knee) are questionable.

Regarding Huff's decreased workload through the middle of the season he said Huff was banged up and sick and also didn't practice well enough. We've heard that before. This week they are preparing Huff, Mister and Dwayne Milton. Bouagnon will get reps as he's able.

Regarding the idea of playing younger players this week for their development Coach Carey said the seniors who have earned playing time will play.

So Huff was sick and injured is the excuse now. This is comical. How does he explain no one else getting carries then? JB was the only healthy running back we have had all season (until last game) apparently.

Thanks for the update 81. Like to see Milton, have seen enough of Mister. Did he mention a backup QB? Seems.important for us. Let's see if we can play 5 QBS this year.

Childers is listed as the backup but will not play. If something happens to Santa they will go with an emergency QB. He mentioned Deucee out of the wildcat as an option.

I heard sick and banged up/injured in regards to Huff multiple times throughout the year actually

Disgusting how we wasted Huff for the last two seasons. He would've put up All American type numbers...

Not to mention we'd be at least 8-3 and May be 10-1 this year if he were the featured back.

That would be quite a feat without a QB.

Maddie played great before he got hurt. Santa can win with his legs and hopefully hit on some play action.

Watch him break at least three long ones Friday if he gets the carries...

He should have unquestionably got more carriers this year. He's not single handedly worth 5-6 wins.

Let me reminder you Huff whiffed on a block that got Graham killed against Ohio last year and then effectively ended the MACC with a fumble. Great talent, not a player without flaws.

RE: Weekly press conference
Yeah those flaws really reared their ugly heads last week. His touchdowns would've more than made up for any weaknesses in his game. Speculating on the type of year we would've had is a waste of time but it's unfortunate we will never find out. I think he's going to run circles around Kent unless Carey decides to go with Bouagnon like he has all year.

He led a comeback that erased a 21-0 deficit as a running back. No doubt in my mind he would've put up All American type numbers.

Hahaha no kidding. It's hilarious people think we would have beat USF, SDSU, or even WMU if we just had Huff as the featured back. Our team is riddled with injuries and doesn't have a real quarterback. Huff might have won us games against Wyoming and/or Western. But jesus, his presence doesn't turn us into one of the top G5's in the country this year.

The CMU and SDSU were close games. It's not a stretch to think Huff would have broken a couple long runs to put us in position to win. Huff broke two long ones against WMU in 2015. But like I said it's a wate of time speculating and unfortunate we will never find out. Gurantee you he runs circles around Kent but we will probably lose if Bouagnon starts.

SDSU put it in cruise control at halftime. Huff also could've fumbled twice and given up three sacks on his own. You need to take a step back and look at the full picture. Huff can't single handedly makeup for the many flaws this team had and he isn't Hershel Walker. You have also compared Santa to Tebow about five times so I shouldn't be surprised.

Santa numbers looked exactly like Tebow's. The result was also the same: A victory. But like I said let's see what happens moving forward.

Huff single-handedly won last week's game despite trailing 21-0. Not far fetched to think he could have made a difference in the close games. Guessing he at least averages 130-140 per game. I mean he ran for 170 in 1 half.

And I assume that if DJ Brown were the running back all year NIU would be undefeated.
