Talley wasn't going to play no matter what. He wasn't even in uniform

If you take him on the trip he should be in uniform. Just my opinion.

RE: Nashville opponent previews: Middle Tennessee, Evansville, Toledo
Toledo is better than they were last year. They are a tough team and on Tuesday I felt like we were just on the edge of a blowout and the edge of a very close game. They seemed to struggle against our defense, which was good, considering how strong they are offensively. If you all can play tight defense and get them out of their comfort zone, they will fall apart. But - you must go inside against them. If I remember correctly we really didn't look very good from beyond the arc against Toledo. They seemed to be playing good outside defense. Williams had a big game, that was a big part of why we won like we did (yes, closer than it appeared). Don't have any insight into Evansville other than the fact that they should be the weakest of the three teams... though they did take Toledo to 2 OT before falling. Obviously we will all get a 2nd look at Toledo tomorrow, but I expect us to continue our successful strategies from the prior game and work on D to disrupt their offensive flow and drive the ball on offense. I wonder how you all will attack them. Similarly?

CG,
Talley not playing tonight really hurt UNCW. He's so important to this team and it really hurts not having him play. He's the epitome of team play. He guards better than everyone, he see's the floor and is unselfish, he handles and defers unless he see's an opening and is strong enough to draw a foul at the very least. Yes, it hurts bad, but he had to pay whatever coach felt was appropriate here. I'm not saying that this cost us the game, but it darn sure didn't help us. He's good and we won many a game with him at the helm. Onto tomorrow...darn...this loss really hurts because we had such a small margin of error in this game without Talley and lost it not playing our game. Talley is the straw that stirs the drink.... too bad that the drink wasn't poured fully.

My question exactly Mullet. Doesn't make sense to me either. And Ogbodo just got sent home too.

There were no plans to play Talley the first game. The plan was to work him in the second or third game. There were apparently some ifs involved, but I have no clue what they are.

I mean. I get that. Kinda. Game one, we needed that one bad as a win there and beating a couple other teams we shouldn't have an issue with would have set this team up for post season success and kept us relevant nationally. Now... not so much.
