Goldberg squashes Lesnar in under 90 seconds
Brock speared twice just seconds into the match, then jackhammered.

Total surprise and excellent move by the creative team.

RE: Goldberg squashes Lesner
Most awesomely surprising finish I have seen in WWE perhaps ever. Gave it a very "real" feel much like the huge upsets and surprises we sometimes see in boxing or MMA.

Kudos because my jaw was on the floor. "OH WOW" I kept saying after the first spear in the opening seconds.

Set up a great storyline for another match. Brock can talk about how he came in way overconfident and didn't take Him seriously at His age.

Brock did not look like he had aged a single day. If not for the white goatee, you would never have known it was 12 years later.

it wasn't a one off for Goldberg either.
He has signed on for a pay per view appearance in 2017 too. Royal Rumble is what I read.

I figured so after a shocker like that.

Goldberg looked amazing for a 49 year old man. Hard to believe.

It was like they went back in time and brought him back in his prime. And I'm not talking about the finish, I'm talking about his physical appearance. The second he walked out of the dressing room, I was thinkimg WOW, he looks exactly the same.

Is it any different than the match where Brock squashed Cena with fifteen suplexes?

Absolutly. Its radically different given the circumstances and story.

Brock has squashed a ton of people the last 3+ years (not in 90 seconds time though). This was by far the most shocking and exciting one of all, not to mention the fact that he was the one getting squashed this time.

If there is one thing fans love to do today, its whine, complain and bury every single thing WWE does. So a portion of crybabies, know it all complainers and Debbie downers is fully expected.

I thoroughly enjoyed it though.

Wonder what is actually going on. They spend years building up Lesnar as the second coming of Godzilla. Then have him destroyed like this.

I mean it was a breath of fresh air, but have to wonder teh reasoning behind it.

total shocker of a shocker. Word is that Goldberg had a shoulder injury that made for the decision to have a short match. He signed for another match which makes sense to have a rematch.

After the UFC debacle, maybe Brock is off the juice and can't keep up with the monster Goldberg.

Goldberg at 49>>>>>No juice Lesnar

Nope Brock wants this be a trilogy and according to Dave Meltzer it's going to be apparently Brock and McMahon got Goldberg to sign a multiple date contract last week for next year.

This has a WrestleMania finale of the trilogy written all over it. Brock wins the next bout at Royal Rumble followed by perhaps the biggest buildup of quite some time to the match at WrestleMania.

RE: Goldberg squashes Lesnar in under 90 seconds
I think it was too quick of a match. Didn't live up to the hype, but since they he will be coming back for at least one more run, I am not as upset as I would be if it was an only show.

I think overall this was a pretty good PPV and sets the stage for quite a few story lines in the future.

Undertaker is supposedly coming back for a run as well, so it will be interesting how this plays out. Would love to see Goldberg v Taker WrestleMania.

it was Lesnar's idea for Goldberg to win so quickly. 2 reasons.

1. Goldberg was banged up a bit. hurt his shoulder tuning up for the match. No way he could go in a long distance match
2. most importantly...future money to be made in a 2nd rematch

Vince, or whoever is booking these days, is counting on (and rightfully so) the fans VERY short memory.

Too many wrestlers go from nobody, to unbeatable, back to mid card... Mark Henry is the perfect example, but there are many others.

I notice in one of the earlier TV appearances before the match that he attempted to do his patented move on someone who interfered in his appearance sessions. He slipped up and had to reset before he was able to get it done.
