RE: AAC END OF THE SEASON AWARDS PRIMER...
Not going to fill all of these out because I don't watch every conference team enough to make the best selection but here's my opinion on the following:
Player of the year: Greg Ward Jr.
offensive MVP: Quentin Flowers
Defensive MVP: Ed Oliver
Coach of the Year: Ken Niumatalolo
Biggest disappointment: UC
Freshman of the Year: Ed Oliver
Program on the Rise: SMU
Program on the Decline: UC
Play of the year: Assuming it doesn't have to be in conference, I don't see how it can get better than Brandon Wilson's kick return against OU. If we're talking conference than UH's goal line stand against Tulsa.
Player that could play at any P5 program: Ed Oliver
First coach to be fired: It should be Tuberville but I think he's safe. Going to go with Diaco instead.
Coach entering 2017 on the hot seat: Tubbs
Coach most likely to take a P5 job: Herman
Best AAC Story of the 2016: Still too early to say

That was the one with your 13 against our 11? I have to agree it was most impressive.

It's almost as if that play meant something to the cougars... like it was a rivalry or something.
