MTSU just lost at home by 11 to Tennessee State. WKU is getting blown out by Belmont. It looks like CUSA will again be a one bid league.

RE: MTSU
I dont understand why this conference plays so poorly OOC. Marshall and ODU are still undefeated and have some good games coming up.

Charlotte too.

We just don't have really any very strong teams. Mostly average to good teams in the top half and just absolutely terrible teams in the bottom 5-7 usually now.

CUSA bottom 4 have a projected 300+ OOC RPI with a 5th at almost 300 OOC RPI. That is a disaster for the rest of the conference.

284 FIU
307 USM
314 UTSA
326 UNT
338 FAU

edit: You would think between UAB, Charlotte, WKU, ODU, LT, and UTEP we could manage 2-3 of them in the top 50 OOC RPI, but it just hasn't been happening the last couple years really.

I understand the top of the conference has to do their part as well, but these RPI's are damn near impossible to overcome. The league has to do something to force these teams to improve. These are literally SWAC RPIs, and that is an insult to several SWAC teams. All teams in our conference should be top 250 teams, there is no excuse for this crap.

All of those top programs listed have at least one of those trash programs as a mirror opponent. Those RPI's are bad enough but we have to play the FU's twice a year. The conference is making that schedule in 30 minutes by plugging names into an autofill form they downloaded for $19.99.

RE: MTSU
Win the conference tournament and get the auto bid, simple. Forget an at large bid, start clicking on all cylinders by time of the Birmingham/UAB/cusa tourney easy, forget non conference tourneys, ooc schedule, and reg season schedules. Go big for the only auto bid.
