RE: Tigers stories are still most popular on CA website
I quit reading the CA when they went to pay for play. I will still click a link here occasionally, but I'm done with them.
As for the Tigers popularity with kids, I know Tigers fans whose kids are still invested in the Tigers moreso than the Grizz. But the casual fan base sure seems more with the Grizz. But it's just not the same with pros vs college in the south. The Tigers start running a solid program and winning again - talk radio, papers, apparel, kids will be back.

For me, it's well worth paying the +$6ish per month (I think I pay $6.50 for online & actual Sunday paper). The podcast, particularly the Tiger football podcast, are worth the price of subscription alone.

I'm not too concerned about Tigers football. It the BB program that concerns me in regards to the younger generations.

I'm just going on what I've observed. If the Griz start losing it may change the tide. However, I do have some concerns. Hope I'm wrong. Only time will tell.

Not to mention just the atmosphere at the games the past few years. There is really no comparison.

Good one, haha. I'm talking about the online edition. So, yeah, it used to be free like many others. About 7 years ago or so.
Do they even still make "papers" any longer?

Which part are you confusing with uniqueness to the Tigers program? The part where a fan refuses to pay for an inferior product that used to be free? Or the part where a fan takes a friendly jab at another?
The use of an antique and obsolete nickname is, however, very unique to Old Miss fans.
