USF @ SMU Game Thread ...
Argh, didn't finish key plays. SMU could have won this by 14 easily. Have to get those yards inside the red zone.

And if you want to question our receivers puhsing off...the overlooked offensive holding on many key USF plays alone surpassed that.

100% true...USF made the key plays. Temple stung and the next time they faced something close to that situation, they held strong. It's a strong season for you but gotta finish next week.

SMU is solid. The fact they may not be bowl eligible is testament to the strength of the AAC.

The AAC is so stacked. SMU will probably not make a bowl, but they are very close to top teams.

Turns out we had good reason to be nervous. SMU rolled up almost 600 yards on us and had the ball seemingly forever. Fortunately our quick-strike offense did some quick-striking.

Defense has to get better. UCF is much-improved, if we think it will be a cakewalk we will be in for a rude awakening.

Defense has to get better. UCF is much-improved. They played both Temple and Houston very tough, had Temple beat (at the time, I cheered Temple's win not knowing how badly it would cost us down the stretch) and Houston way down before barely losing both.

If we think it will be a cakewalk we will be in for a rude awakening.

Our defense is not good but lately they have been doing ok when they have to. Unfortunately our new DC seems to want to play the bend but dont break style and even then WRs are able to get deep on us. I hope we look into it this off season because there is too much talent for them being this bad.
The UCF game will be a tough one and once again we will rely on our offense scoring points and our defense stooping them a few times. Another 35-27 game is what I expect
