its more complicated than that.. you have to be the highest ranked team not tied to a bowl..and in a wierd extremely unlikely scenario that could possibly happen at 11

(only 2 teams from each conference in the top 10, and a 3rd from the big 10)

but right now there are 4 big 10 teams in the top 10
