Some Good Developments For Boston College Football
Been a tough year for BC FB, but things are looking up.

1. After years of back and forth trash talking among BC and Uconn fans, BC and Uconn finally played a FB game against one another today. The result - BC dominated Uconn: 30-0. That's five wins. One more for bowl eligibility. (Sorry my Uconn friends, couldn't resist. :) )

2. Longer Term, BC released plans for the new football indoor practice facility. Construction scheduled to start this spring after graduation. As the presentation indicates, it will be built alongside the FB stadium/FB building.

That's only a parenthetical. The main point is despite a nightmare season, BC has a shot at bowl eligibility. Look, I agree a potential 6-6 record is nothing to brag about, but given the year BC FB has had, I will take it. :)

The IPF & weight room looks great! Congrats!

The team will really appreciate that facility during winter lifting & conditioning sessions and spring practice, when it's cold outside.

Funny thing you mention UConn ... that facility puts you on par with what the Huskies have had for a few years now.

Thanks. That's true about Uconn's practice facilities, which are nice. Like Uconn, BC already has has a good FB building, but was lacking a full time IPF. For years, BC has had an inflated, heated "Bubble erected over the FB stadium field after the end of the season and into the spring. BC has announced they are keeping the "Bubble" after the IPF comes online so they will have even more capacity for multi sport training. Of course, BC also has an on-campus FB stadium which I am sure the Huskies would love to have.

That is smart. In cold weather climates, you can never have too much indoor athletic space. Will be in use, morning through night during the week. Maybe weekend days, too.
